Marriage.

Do you want to know what I think about marriage? I’ll tell you. In my opinion, marriage is much more than an amalgamation of ideas, experiences, expectations, and beliefs. Marriage is the soul’s way of reuniting itself with its’ other half. It is the hearts way of exposing its’ most precious, yet vulnerable parts of itself to another. If my heart could speak words about marriage they would probably sound like this. “You know that I am needed in order to live. However, for some reason, I’m not quite able to live without you. There are no bones, walls or shields that are protecting me from any pains that I may experience with you. So, please be careful with me. I’ve been broken before, but I still beat. Now, I find myself beating for you. I trust you. I love you. You are both joy and Love. I welcome you.” Marriage, in my opinion, is a thing. I get it. I know that there are those who say that there is no need to be married in order to show, live, and thrive and in Love. However, to me, marriage is sweet and tender. It is a spiritual agreement. It is my soul’s ability to take a risk with someone whose soul also willingly and freely entered into the same agreement with mine. Marriage…. Marriage is much more than an amalgamation of ideas, experiences, expectations, and beliefs. Marriage. When we were children, while we were on the playground, no one ever really knew what we were feeling. However, we felt. Since I was a child, I have felt something that I have never seen. I am not afraid. I am not apprehensive. Despite my past, I am not cynical. Battle wounds and all, I still believe. Patrick

This week, please do something for someone other than yourself for no reason at all other than to make their lives better. As always, if you make it to where you’re going, please don’t forget to leave a map for the rest of us. Always Choose Love Because Love Changes Everything…
